Art in Therapy
Art is used as an expressive therapeutic intervention. Whether the person is a child, adolescent, or an adult, talk therapy does not always provide a full account of what they have experienced or a full experience of what they feel or think. Using art in therapy helps to access the right brain processes in order to address pain or a variety of emotions that helps children or adults to work through trauma, develop a coping tool, or for working on self/spiritual development. Art provides a different medium for expression.
Mandalas in therapy is another form of art work that can be quite healing and supportive of transformation, integration, and wholeness of the "Self".
